Each piece here focuses on a different aesthetic and the specific challenges that come with it. My goal when creating a new environment is always to learn a new skill so that I am never stagnant or too complacent with what I already know. It's important to always keep evolving in an industry that's always changing.
When creating props, my goal is always improvement. Whether it's as little as doing everything faster or learning a new technique, I want to create the level of confidence to see something and immediately know that I can make it. Hard surface assets is where I thrive. From weapons to intricate vehicles, if it's hard surface I will build it.
At the cornerstone of every asset is material creation. Having a deep understanding of every approach is crucial when leading a team to calculate the investment. While there are many different approaches, which is the most efficient depends on the project. With Substance Painter and Designer being the leading software in material creation, I always make it my responsibility to know, understand, and continue learning each thoroughly.
Drawing came before 3D and it's never left. These illustrations exist outside any production context — a space to think visually without constraints, explore ideas, and keep my foundational skills sharp. More honest than a portfolio piece, and more useful than it looks.
